This document provides instructions on how to set a static IP on the terminal.
It is also recommended to reserve the MAC address in the router.

Set static IP on V400 (recommended)

- Press “9”+green and enter the admin code
- Go to Network > WiFi > current WiFi info > IP settings




- Check the current IP address

💡 Take a picture of the current IP address & Subnet mask

- Turn off DHCP

- Set the static settings to the following:
- IP address: Same as when it was DHCP
- Subnet mask: same as when it was DHCP
- Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
- Alternative DNS: 8.8.4.4
- Save!
- Go to Network > Diagnostics > PSP Connection and make sure all the checks are green.

- Press “Network”

- Press “Wi-Fi”

- Press the cogwheel on the connected Wi-Fi

- Press “Advanced” and scroll down to see IP address and Subnet mask

- Write up the current IP address and Subnet mask

- Click the pen in the top-right corner
- Click “Advanced options” to expand the options

- Scroll down (touch screen) to the setting “IP settings”
- Change to “Static”

- Scroll down and enter the IP address you saved before
- Add gateway in the “Gateway”

- Scroll down further to DNS 1 and DNS 2
- Add “8.8.8.8” to DNS 1
- Add “8.8.4.4” to DNS 2
- Save!

Terminal should now be set to static IP address.
Testing the connection can be done from the Main menu > Diagnostics >
PSP connection to verify it’s working as intended.
Reserving IP address in router (recommended)
It is recommended to reserve the IP address in the router.
This needs to be done by the customer on site when installing the POS.
To do this, you need to access the router in the local network.
You also need the current IPv4 address to the terminal (e.g. 192.168.0.32)
